Which prayer books and hymnals are in Anglican Companion?
Our Modern Services: The ACK Prayer Book (English), Ibuku rĩa Thara o na Thaburi (Gĩkũyũ), and the hymnals Golden Bells - Kenya (English), Tenzi za Rohoni (Kiswahili), and Nyĩmbo cia Kũinĩra Ngai (Gĩkũyũ).
Does Anglican Companion work offline?
Yes. Sync the books once over Wi-Fi or mobile data, then read every prayer and hymn without a connection - in a service hall with no signal, or anywhere else.
Can I search Gĩkũyũ hymns without typing the special letters?
Yes. Search ignores diacritics, so typing “Guthaitha” on a plain keyboard still finds “Gũthaitha”. You can search by title, hymn number, author, scripture reference, or a line from the text.
Can I follow the whole Holy Communion or Morning Service in order?
Yes. Open a service and scroll straight through every prayer in order. If you jump to a prayer from search, you can carry on reading the rest of the service from that point.
Can our congregation, parish or diocese have its own space in the app?
Yes - a single congregation, a parish, or an entire diocese can have a space inside Anglican Companion for its own books, sermons, Bible study guides, and prayer schedules, with settings for each parish and congregation. Visit the For Churches page to start a conversation.
